Do You Think You Might Be In Peri-menopause?

Peri-menopause can happen at any age, but usually starts at around 40, and if any of these changes sound familiar, you may be at the start of your journey:

  • Your skin isn’t as clear and radiant anymore
  • You feel on edge in certain situations
  • You now hate night driving
  • You’re getting more headaches or migraines
  • Your pre-menstrual symptoms are getting worse
  • You’re becoming constipated when you weren’t before
  • You’re constantly pulling hair out of the plughole
  • You’re hungover after 3 mouthfuls of wine

Can Menopause Really Be Symptom Free?

Yes! Around 20% of women barely notice their menopause, and women experience their transition differently depending on where in the world they are. We know that in Asia, women tend to have an easier time than we do in the west, and there are probably a number of reasons why! The Asian diet and lifestyle is generally much healthier, and their attitudes towards aging are more empowering. I believe that by learning how to love and honour our menopause transition, we can create positive change in ourselves, our loved ones and society as a whole. If you can learn how to manage the physical symptoms, menopause can be a very life-affirming time, so let me show you the bigger picture. With a little help, you can soon feel calmer, clearer and more confident about how to navigate menopause the natural way.The types of menopause symptoms we get can vary according to whereabouts on the journey we are and what our hormones are doing. My main symptoms were that I was struggling to sleep, my emotions and getting ratty. I was on HRT but decided not to carry on with that, I wanted to do everything holistically.

The book Hannah recommended was good and gave me some ‘time to heal’- I took a lot away from that. It helped me to figure out what was happening in relationship to my body and emotions.  Food is powerful and also learning that it is ok to switch off, everything doesn’t have to be tidy!

The main outcome was coming off HRT.  Understanding the power of food and power of herbs.  Thinking about things in a different way/light.  Putting myself first.

I have even managed to lose a stone in weight!
